Fundraising

In order to maintain our high standards in providing quality educational seminars and social activities for the local BDSM community, NOBLE will occasionally hold fundraisers.  Sometimes we will hold a raffle at the door, where you can buy a chance to win anything from cash to equipment, to a book or video.  One of our most popular fundraisers are auctions.

Typically, an auction takes place before a play party.  We usually try to schedule them to coincide with a demo or major event.  Auctions are beneficial to both NOBLE and the community. Not only does NOBLE get the funds it needs to continue bringing events to the greater New Orleans area, but the community has an opportunity to pick up quality toys and equipment for a very reasonable price.  We do ask that you pay for your auction winnings on the night of the event.

You can find three categories of "products" up for sale at a NOBLE auctions.  Toys and Equipment, Services, and People!  Toys and Equipment can include floggers, whips, slappers, electric toys, cuffs, restraints, etc.  Services can include sensual massages, servant for a day, top to bottom house cleaning, a gourmet meal cooked just for you, etc.  You can also bid on Dominants and submissives for a negotiated scene. 

The auction itself consists of two phases ... a silent auction, and a live auction. 

Most toys and equipment as well as services are sold at silent auction.  For toys and equipment, the piece itself is there for you to examine, along with a sheet of paper describing any pertinent details and an opening bid.  Just write down your name (or scene name) and your bid.  For services, you'll find a sheet of paper describing the service and the person donating it.  Again, just write down your name and your bid.  If someone out bids you, you can bid again and again until the auction is closed.

Dominants and submissives are auctioned LIVE!  That way, potential bidders can see what they're getting.  This phase of the event features an auctioneer, who will sell the Dominant or submissive on the auction block to the highest bidder.  Live auctions are always a lot of fun for all present.
