Sadistic Bondage (5:00pm - 6:45pm)
sad·ism (sa'diz'?m, sad'iz'?m) noun The
getting of sexual pleasure from dominating, mistreating, or hurting
one's partner. The getting of pleasure from inflicting physical or
psychological pain on another or others. maso·chism (mas'? kiz'?m,
maz'-) noun The getting of sexual pleasure from being dominated,
mistreated, or hurt physically or otherwise by one's partner. The
getting of pleasure from suffering physical or psychological pain,
inflicted by others or by oneself.
This class is about Pain, and its effect on the human
body, both physically and mentally. Rope can be used for great pleasure
and for great pain, and can have a transcending effect on the body and
mind. This class is about blurring the lines that separate them. We
will be focusing on different ties and techniques. As well as using
thinner rope and less of it.
There is something very exciting about twisting,
contorting, yanking and pulling someone for your own satisfaction. We
will of course cover how this play affects safety. You will get to ask
questions for yourself and gain understanding from the perspective of
the top and the bottom as to why people play this way. We will be
covering floor work through partial suspension. You will also get a
chance to indulge in this type of play and do some hands on bondage.
Class participants will need to bring several pieces of
rope preferably hemp or jute rope in 4mm and 6mm, in 15 and 30ft
lengths. If You need some rope for this class stop by By the vending
booth of BossBondage and he will help You select some rope!
One of NOBLE's very own...Tony...will be presenting a class on Energy Play for us!!
Tony
is 42 years old and was born in LA...Los Angeles, California! He has
been active in the scene since 1998. Tony is a self styled shaman and
practicioner of the art of touch.
This
demo will attempt to show some of the different ways we use and put
energy into things, particularly with regards to BDSM...such as what is energy
and how can it benefit my play sessions.
Since we've been doing wax play...we have had people
come to us with questions from the type of wax we use...the melting
temperature of the different types of wax...to the way we apply the wax
in our scenes. This presentation will answer all of these questions and more!!
NULLMONIKER Nullmoniker is a sadistic bastard who has been in the scene for over 20
years. In the 1990′s he joined the altruistic forces of alt-sex
education; teaching classes on the subjects he loves and serving on the
boards of various BDSM organizations. In particular, he loves teaching
classes in a manner that is as educational and practical as it is
entertaining – showing that even the scariest play can be approachable.
While his reputation is for intense edge play, Nullmoniker enjoys
matching a scene to each partner’s desires and abilities. A firm
believer that all intensities of BDSM should have some aspect of
playfulness, he often reminds people “we call it play because it’s
supposed to be fun.”
SYSIPHE
Sysiphe has been into fucked-up shit her whole life; eventually she
discovered there are things called “munches” for her kind of fucked-up
and dove straight down the BDSM rabbit hole. Since then she’s been
traveling about with her partner to find new venues for recreational
bleeding and to contribute to the corruption of others. Her classes are
heavy on discussion, laughter, easy first steps, and encouraging both
creative independent exploration and the development of personal flair. A
bit of a theory slut, she can also be found flitting about every
quasi-relevant discussion group within a twenty mile radius – and
sometimes starting up new discussion groups, including Dames of Kink, a
discussion/cheap red wine/theory group for female-identified kinksters.
In addition to teaching and chattering nonstop, at multi-day events she
often runs processing/group therapy sessions for people with histories
involving sexual and relationship violence. She counters this vaguely
responsible behavior by being the optimistic voice of cheerful
problem-solving in every brainstorming session; if you dare mention the
phrase “hot coal torture play,” you’ll be deluded with emailed links
about the Leidenfrost effect by the time you get home (and possibly also
helpful thoughts on mindfucks involving seared steaks).
FOR THE MUSE OF YOUR FLAME Forget the showmanship, bring on the newly-devoted bottoms. This class
focuses on creating intense and varying sensation for your partner –
what fires are described as “stingy” versus “warm” versus “scary” versus
“deep:” how to match your fuel and application style to the scene and
partner, how to make the scene sadistic or sweet, and whether to
position your bottom prone, upright, or inverted. We’ll cover liquid and
semi-liquid fuels, flash cotton, cups, torches, brushes, gloves,
blowing, when and how to meld in other sensations, crafting a fire
scene… And, as always, fire safety.
FEAR PLAY There is a reason why people call Nullmoniker an asshole and his love of
fear play is one of them. We’ll explore why fear is a powerful emotion
that can be used to disorient, heighten senses, and increase arousal.
"YOU ASSHOLE!" DEALING WITH, AND PLANNING FOR, THE EMOTIONAL FALLOUT OF INTENSE SCENES When things go wrong, how do you recover? How do you save the scene,
sooth your partner, protect your relationship, and get/keep the girl
(er, or guy)? Nullmoniker is a master at reading his partners, and
Sysiphe is crazed enough to give him plenty of practice; together they
share what they’ve learned about how to protect your relationship and
take care of each other while doing fucked up things to one another.

Mindy Chateauvert
Mindy Chateauvert holds a doctorate in US History with a faculty appointment in
the Washington DC area, while looking for a teaching position in New Orleans.

rights and community organizing. From 1996-1999, she was a staff member of the
National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, overseeing its crisis response team; she
is also a founder of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation. Currently, Mindy is an
executive board member of the Leather Archives and Museum, located in Chicago
and serving the world. She is also treasurer of the Centaur Motorcycle Club of
Washington, DC, an honorary member of the Philadelphians Motorcycle Club, and a

Project, working to end the criminalization of HIV, and and an advisor to NO
Justice, seeking to abolish sex offender status for women and men in Louisiana
convicted of soliciting a "crime against nature." She has taught
classes on singletails, sharps, and negotiating consent, and believes that
black leather boots should be the only footwear allowed in a real dungeon.
12noon: Protecting Yourself Legally
with Mercury from the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF)
Members of the SM/leather/fetish communities have always had some level of
concern regarding the issues of privacy, discretion, and personal security. The
Radical Right, employers, ex-partners, and others may pose threats to these
concepts. Many times their motivation comes from ignorance, but new motivations
like custody of children, and revenge are also becoming commonplace. This
presentation provides tips for protecting yourself legally for various
circumstances.
2pm: Women in Leather: Histories,
Archives and Stories with Mindy Chateauvert from the Leather Archives and
Museum
Have you ever wondered about the real women who were models for Sacher-Masoch's
Venus in Furs? for de Sade's Justine? Did the women in The Pearl really exist?
Or for more recent authors like Carol Queen's switch hitters or the "Macho
Sluts" or "Doc and Fluff" in Pat Califia's stories? Who were the
leather women of San Francisco's Samois who wrote "What color is your
hanky?" and fought against the censorship of anti-pornography feminists in
the 1980s? Ever wondered who introduced safer sex to the women in the leather
community? Who is Jeanne Barney and why did she co-found the legendary,
groundbreaking gay men's SM periodical, Drummer Magazine? How did "Mr
Benson" influence Anne Rice? And just how many PEP clubs did Nancy Miller
and Cynthia Slater really organize?
The history of women in leather is
as complicated and diversified as any history, and just as hidden. Scholars
have only begun to gather the stories of how kinky strangers found partners in
the late nineteenth century, of how gay veterans returning stateside after
World War II organized motorcycle clubs, and the ways that pansexual men and
women began meeting in "public" places in the 1970s. Though perhaps
unintentional, documentation tends to focus on men - gay, hetero and otherwise
- and their efforts to satisfy their sexual desires. Women tend to be
"objects" -- passive, willing submissives, or, like "Wanda van
Dunajew" created to master their male slave according to his strictly
established sexual script while dressed in fur.
But there have always been bad girls
who don't follow scripts. And there are women who have sought to create a
community to talk about their desires and learn from others. there are dykes
who never wanted to set a booted foot in a pansexual dungeon, and found their
home in the gay men's fisting clubs South of Market.
The Women's Leather History Project
seeks to document the real lives of women in leather -- and in rubber, colored
hankies, corsets, jeans, stilettos and furs. (You know those closets are full!)
Under the direction of Dr. Alex Warner and Sarah Humble, the first American
Leatherwoman, the WLHP is conducting oral histories of female participants,
whether they're leaders or members, or community builders or teachers or simply
lovers, in the US and everywhere (even Canada!). Its goals is to establish not
only that "We were there!" but recognize women's voices and visions
in our kinky world.
4pm: Consent Counts with Mercury
from NCSF
NCSF is leading a major national campaign—Consent Counts—to change the laws and
police practices that our communities now endure, and to establish that consent
is available as a defense in criminal BDSM prosecutions. This nationwide
project aims to decriminalize consensual BDSM through education, advocacy,
legal actions and lobbying.
Robert Rubel (Dr. Bob), author, educator, and photographer isan
educational sociologist and researcher by training. He currently has ten
books in print(four on Master/slave topics, two on advanced sex
techniques, one on fire play, and three erotic art photo books).
Recipient of the 2008 Pantheon of Leather's Community Choice Award
(man), Robert (Bob) Rubel has been involved in the BDSM scene since the
summer of 2001, throwing himself into the literature of the field as
though it were an academic study. He presents, judges, and sells his
books at weekend kink conferences throughout the year.
2pm - Structuring the Structured Relationship –– Avoiding Crises and Building Stability
Long-term Master/slave relationships are not accidental; they require
ongoing hard work. To a large extent, people get along better with one
another when they openly discuss their expectations and wishes with
regard to their own growth and the growth of their partner. There are
certain tips and techniques - some borrowed from the world of business -
that can be helpful before you enter into a relationship, during the
development of the relationship, and to keep it running smoothly after
it’s established. (NOTE: you might wish to bring pen and paper.)
4pm - Using Protocols to Make your World Special
While there are certain general protocols used in public Leather
settings, there are many ways to build protocols into personal
relationships, both as a way of honoring the relationship and to
demonstrate on a daily basis just how special the relationship is both
to Master and to slave. We will also discuss ways that protocols can be
used to help to stabilize relationships during times of stress. We’ll go
over some examples of protocols that we use personally, and ask for
audience participation to learn of other protocols that can be used to
stabilize a relationship. We will also brainstorm other ways that
protocols can be used to benefit both Master and slave in a structured
relationship. (NOTE: you might wish to bring pen and paper.)

edgier side of play.I enjoy throwing
fire, Fire batons, and Fire Floggers.I
also enjoy breath and blade plays with my girl. I have been teaching and presenting on my

intellectual connections made in class discussions. We've all
contributed to educating each other in many ways. It's my great fortune
to participate in the creation of these moments."
2pm -- Negotiations: Your Most Important Tool
Learn how to negotiate well and completely. Learn what is imperative to
negotiations, why they are necessary and how to improve your skills and
get what you want and need to create a basic scene or an intense long
scene. This class is taught from two perspectives: a) learning how to
negotiate as a top; and b) how to negotiate as a bottom. This class gets
into the nitty gritty of knowing yourself, playing on multiple levels
and how to bring your best self to play. This class is also meant for
those who have experience and have been negotiating for sometime. It is
not a 101 class.
4pm -Cornerstones: Beginnings, Middles and the End
We'll focus on relationship patterns in the beginning, middle and the
end of relationships. We'll discuss the difference between care-taking
and taking care, illusion vs reality, personal responsibility,
boundaries, owning who you are, getting what you want, dealing with
mistakes and being able to separate between yours, mine and ours. End
your relationships as well as you begin them. Understanding the stages
of relationships will help you stay in the middle, isn't that the goal
after all? Join this intimate discussion regards of what stage you are
in-- this is for coupled and single people alike.

2pm - Unconventional Communication for Unconventional Relationships
How can you have your needs met and get you want within
Dominant/submissive or other form of kinky relationship dynamic? It is
commonly said that communication is key, but we know it's not as simple
as it sounds. Sometimes the direct approach is not the best. This
workshop will focus on alternatives to just sitting down and talking it
out, with special attention on different and distinctive ways of getting
your message across to your partner(s)/member(s) of your family of
choice. Good news: some of those distinctive ways involve play! Come and
learn some of the alternative routes to enhancing your unconventional
relationship dynamic in this fun, interactive and informative workshop.
4pm - Role Playing from the Skin Up - AKA Playing Dress-Up with Cousin Julian
Finally a role playing class where transformations happen in front of your eyes-without the benefit of a dressing room!
Of course you take your roles in life seriously. Many of us both work
and play hard. Some of us identify as Masters, Ma'ams, slaves, boys,
girls and many other things in between, and sometimes things not even
close to those titles. Join Julian Wolf as we explore the roles that we
play to find the fantasy in them- as well as delving into our
imaginations for new, exciting roles to play. The nine basic forms of
role playing will be covered, as well as how to put together a fantasy
role playing scene that will work for you and your playmates, starting
from the skin up. Costume changes, ideas, tips and tricks will be
presented in this fun and informative workshop by someone who's been
enjoying role playing and creating fantasies for as long as they can
remember.
Special Bonus - at our Friday Meet and Greet or Saturday
Potluck, Julian will also lead us in a brief ceremony on eating with
Hedonistic Intentions
A person devoted to the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification is
called a hedonist. Taking a cue from the hedonistic lifestyle can make
even the most mundane experience most enjoyable. In this workshop, we
will go through the actions of intentional hedonism with every day
tasks, such as eating, grooming, and experiencing the simple things in
the world around you. The five senses are a frequently neglected outside
of the dungeon, and this class will give you the tools that you need to
have an incredible hedonistic experience just about anywhere, without
scaring the natives. *This is not a workshop on sadomasochism, but the
skill sets can be used in relationships, scenes and with a touch of
imagination, just about everywhere.
Scott
Smith
grew up in the Northwest and began exploring the facets of
S&M at an
early age. With his creative and rather deviant mind, he
enthusiastically
developed his techniques of bondage and suspension from his
experience with
nautical and high angle rope work. The powerful physical
interactions that
became the hallmark of his S&M activities were initially
necessities for
various activities including white water rafting, scuba,
climbing, and
paramedical rescue.
Scott
brings
a distinct intensity and passion to the ebb and flow of
learning,
teaching and actualizing S&M. A believer that the magic of
BDSM comes
through the connection of the participants, his workshops
develop and nurture
that connection; while maintaining a decidedly sadistic
edginess.
Starting
in
the early 90's, Scott has presented countless workshops and
seminars
throughout North America and abroad for organizations large and
small. Scott is
internationally known for his rope work, connection, and edge
play workshops.
The not so gentle art of persuasion
and discussion. Sleep deprivation, bright lights, the sound of fingernails on a
chalkboard; how to set the stage to have the bottom talking. Tricks,
techniques, and useful garden utensils will all be covered in this workshop on
interrogation scenes lasting from half an hour to several days. Other aspects
that will be discussed include: role-playing and interrogation, how to make the
scene as real as is possible, special thoughts on long scenes and questions
that you bring. This class is intended to bring as much reality as possible to
the subject, the limits of the bottom and of the audience will likely both be
explored and expanded.
4pm - Consensual Non-Consent:
A discussion of the mindset and
personal responsibility of dancing near the edge; with vivid examples Alfred
Hitchcock would be inspired by.
